The Rectorial Installation is a long-standing tradition at the University of St. Andrews, which most students will only get to experience once. It is one of of the most unique and special opportunities this University has to offer and we heavily encourage all students to come along and participate.

Event: The Formal Induction Ceremony of the University Rector
Please arrive at Younger Hall at 3:30 PM for a 4 PM start. The ceremony will last approximately for one hour; you will hear speeches from a member of University Court, the President of the Student’s Association and, of course, Alistair Moffat’s Rectorial Address.
Please note: all academics have received e-mails, asking them to excuse students from lectures/tutorials if they wish to attend the Rectorial Installation. Please inform your professor/lecturer ahead of time if you plan to miss his/her class.
This event is free but ticketed; please remember to bring your ticket and matriculation card upon arrival at Younger Hall.
